Before I had all the information I have now, I did try to tie into your line, but couldn't make it work.
My Issac was born much later than yours, I'm guessing around the 1850's time frame. (I don't have the exact date.)
Issac's father, Cornelius McCarty was born June 12, 1834 and married Annie Elizabeth Suman, brother to my Edward, born November 7, 1827.
Edward and Cornelius were two of eleven children born to Cornelius McCarty (b. 1797, South Carolina) and Americus Jemima Bell (b. South Carolina). Cornelius and Jemima's marriage bonds were posted December 1, 1821, in Lincoln County, North Carolina, where their oldest child was born September 21, 1821. They had moved to Jackson, Champaign County, Ohio by the time their fourth child, Edward, was born in 1827. They then moved to Mason County, Illinois, about 1837 between the births of two children (#8 & #9). Edward was in Menard County, Illinois as a school teacher in the 1850 Census. He married Louisa Jane Hamilton, daughter of Miles Gibson Hamilton and Barbara Ellen Bouger, January 16, 1848, Petersburg, Menard County, Illinois. They moved to Dallas County, Texas, about 1857-1858, between the births of two of their eleven children.
Cornelius, the senior, may be the grandson of Cornelius McCarty that was in the South Carolina and Georgia area in 1757. I'm missing a generation, and I haven't yet found the 1757 Cornelius' parentage (or birthdate), however, I do have a lot of other information on him. I don't know if he ties into the West Virginia and Kentucky McCartys or not. Because of the unusual spelling of Issac in both families, that would lead me to believe that there may be a connection.
